Business Manager
Jack Marley McIntyre is a multidisciplinary technologist and project manager with experience across the Public Sector, Private Sector, Academica, and Local Governance.
Jack joined the University of Glasgow in 2026, most recently founding and leading the lauded Highland Employer Charter project for the Highland Council of Scotland. He was previously Head STEM Coordinator and Campus Technologist for UHI Inverness, where he was PI for UHI's school of engineering technology in additive manufacturing, STEM equity, business engagement, and circular economy. Previously achieved a research associate position with UHI, he has also won awards relating to environmental business projects, and judged awards for national circular economy projects.

Green ICT Online seminar | Date: 24 February 2025 / Time: 15.00 – 16.00 BST (16.00 – 17.00 CET) / Location: Online MS Teams / SPEAKING This online seminar is organised by our colleagues from the Green ICT Programme in Germany.
Dr. Mahmoud Wagih (University of Glasgow, Deputy PI of the REACT Centre) will explore sustainable manufacturing of high-performance electronics, with a focus on PCB-level solutions. He will highlight responsible fabrication methods that enable low-impact production, recycling, and minimal waste at end-of-life. The presentation will also include RF systems designed with environmental considerations, such as battery-less and chip-less sensors using custom sensing materials. Additionally, preliminary life cycle assessments (LCAs) of wireless devices will be presented to guide future sustainable design practices.
