This online seminar is organised by our colleagues from the Green ICT Programme in Germany.
Dr. Mahmoud Wagih (University of Glasgow, Deputy PI of the REACT Centre) will explore sustainable manufacturing of high-performance electronics, with a focus on PCB-level solutions. He will highlight responsible fabrication methods that enable low-impact production, recycling, and minimal waste at end-of-life.
The presentation will also include RF systems designed with environmental considerations, such as battery-less and chip-less sensors using custom sensing materials.
Additionally, preliminary life cycle assessments (LCAs) of wireless devices will be presented to guide future sustainable design practices.
